Spring Lake was a primary recreational spot in the late 1880’s as a trolly stop between Indianapolis and Greenfield. It was incorporated as a town in 1928. Per the 2020 US Census, Spring Lake had 210 residents, a 3.7% decline from 2010 US Census data, with a 9 point diversity index increase.
